Extraordinary General Assembly on Saturday, June 13, 2020
PACE will hold an Extraordinary General Assembly by teleconference on Saturday, June 13, 2020, in order to appoint an interim Board of Administrators. Composed of outgoing Administrators, its mission shall be to prepare the face-to-face Ordinary General Assembly that will take place in Brussels, on August 22, 2020.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The 11th Ordinary General Assembly of PACE, the PArty of the Citizens of Europe, will take place on Saturday 9th June, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Espace Lumen, 10 rue du Nid, 1050 Brussels (entry by the garden’s gate, on the right hand side). Registrations with Audric.Alexandre@pace–europe.

juillet 2016 – Séminaire à Céreste
Le séminaire de Céreste 2016 a eu lieu du 14 au 17 juillet. Ces quatre journées enrichissantes ont été l’occasion pour les membres et les sympathisants de PACE d’échanger sur la stratégie de PACE pour les élections présidentielle et législatives françaises, de faire un premier bilan de LaPrimaire.org, de découvrir les premiers extraits de la biographie de notre candidat à l’élection présidentielle Philippe Mazuel, d’échanger sur les idées.
Dans le cadre de ce séminaire a eu lieu la première Journée Thématique, sur le thème de la rénovation de la vie publique.
Voici le programme du candidat Philippe Mazuel concernant la rénovation de la vie publique:
– création du Sénat Citoyen: les Sénateurs seront des citoyens tirés au sort et des représentants des forces vives de la société, (en remplacement du Conseil économique et social qui sera supprimé).
– mise en place d’un quota de jeunes à chaque élection: 30% des candidats devront avoir moins de 40 ans.
– reconnaissance du vote blanc: si le vote blanc est majoritaire, il peut invalider le résultat de l’élection concernée.
– interdiction du cumul des mandats dans l’espace et dans le temps (un seul mandat à la fois, pas plus de deux mandats consécutifs).
En outre, lorsqu’on abandonne un mandat pour cause de non cumul, il n’est pas autorisé de s’augmenter sur l’autre mandat pour compenser le revenu « perdu ».
– interdiction de recruter un membres de sa famille proche comme collaborateur parlementaire ou membre de son cabinet.
Les prochaines journées thématiques (environnement et durabilité, Europe sociale, rééquilibrage des territoires…) auront lieu de septembre à décembre. Nous vous transmettrons prochainement le calendrier.

juin 2016 – PACE à Brighton et à Londres à l’occasion du referendum
3 membres de PACE se sont rendus en Angleterre, à Brighton et Londres du 22 au 24 juin 2016 pour manifester leur solidarité aux « remainers » du referendum portant sur le maintien ou la sortie du Royaume-Uni de l’Union européenne. PACE tenait à être présent sur place pour vivre ce moment historique qui s’est soldé par un vote en faveur du Brexit.
A Brighton, nous avons tracté avec des membres du camp « stronger in ». Les habitants de Brighton ont semblé être majoritairement en faveur du “remain”, ce que les résultats du referendum ont confirmé.
Nous nous sommes rendu à Londres le jour même du referendum où nous avons rejoint nos amis de l’association New Europeans devant la maison de l’Europe londonienne. Nous avons ensuite visité les locaux du camp « stronger in » où les bénévoles faisaient une campagne d’appel pour convaincre les citoyens d’aller voter.
Le 24 au matin nous avons eu les résultats définitifs de ce vote qui s’est fait en faveur du Brexit. Nous avons communiqué la position de PACE face à ce résultat sur nos réseaux sociaux et avons rejoint nos amis de New Europeans pour discuter ensemble des conséquences de ce vote.
juin 2016 – Assemblée Générale PACE
Le nouveau conseil d’administration a été élu à l’unanimité lors de l’AG du 11 juin 2016 qui s’est tenue à Bruxelles. 4 des membres sortants ont été reconduits. 3 nouveaux membres, Tim OTWAY, Mariapia STERNATIVO et Alex USUNOV intègrent l’équipe.
Conformément au droit belge, les bilans d’activités et budgets ont été adoptés.

9 mai 2016 – Fête de l’Europe à Hénin-Beaumont
Pour la troisième année consécutive, le Parti des citoyens européens (PACE) a organisé la fête de l’Europe à Hénin-Beaumont.
Dans la matinée, nous nous sommes rendus devant le monument aux morts d’Hénin-centre pour rendre hommage aux morts d’Hénin-Beaumont et de toute l’Europe qui se sont sacrifiés pour la liberté de la France, et de l’Europe. A partir de 15 heures, nous avons invité les citoyens à venir échanger avec le candidat de PACE à l’élection présidentielle, Philippe Mazuel. Cette journée s’est clôturée par un apéritif européen.
15 février 2016 – Inauguration de la section Abbeville/Picardie Maritime
PACE a inauguré à Abbeville, le vendredi 15 février 2016, son antenne Picardie Maritime.
Cette réunion a permis de rassembler des citoyen(ne)s de tout horizons autour de la présentation du Parti des Citoyens Européens et de l’avant-programme présidentiel de Philippe MAZUEL. David MONGIN, responsable de section, a ensuite pris la parole afin de se présenter plus en détails et d’exposer ses idées pour la région. A cette occasion, M. Vincent HERVE, journaliste au Courrier Picard, a couvert l’événement.
7 février 2016 – Journée de la citoyenneté européenne à Lille et à Berlin
A l’occasion de l’anniversaire de la signature du traité de Maastricht le 7 Février 1992 créant la citoyenneté européenne, le Parti des citoyens européens (PACE) a créé la Journée de la Citoyenneté Européenne.
A Lille, une action de rue a eu lieu sur la place Charles de Gaulle (Grand’Place) lors de laquelle les passants ont été invités à matérialiser sur des panneaux participatifs leurs voyages en Europe et à exprimer leurs questionnements, inquiétudes, remarques ou idées sur la citoyenneté européenne et l’Union européenne.
A Berlin, une conférence-débat a été organisée au siège allemand de PACE sur le thème de Schengen et a été suivie d’un morceau de jazz.
September 2015 – France – PACE & EFP (European Federalist Party) allied for the French Regional elections
PACE held an extraordinary general assembly on 27 September in its headquarters at Hénin-Beaumont. On that occasion, the decision has been taken to conclude an alliance with the European Federalist Party (EFP) in view of the French regional elections of December 2015, in particular in Region Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie (Head of the regional list: Yves GERNIGON).
The EFP and PACE ARE SEARCHING CANDIDATES TO COMPLEMENT THEIR LIST (which must include 180 candidates!) to bear the project of A YOUNG REGION OF 6 MILLION CITIZENS FULLY ANCHORED IN EUROPE IN ORDER TO PLAY A KEY ROLE IN THE INCEPTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN ‘EQUI-ECONOMY’ (a balanced economy) OF SOLIDARITY, FULLY CREATIVE AND AT THE FOREFRONT FOR ENVIRONMENT AND ‘COMMONS’. July 2015 – Philippe Mazuel in Athens for the Referendum
Philippe Mazuel went to ATHENS from 2 to 6 July to bring PACE’s support to the Greek people in the difficult times they are going through, to discuss with as many Greek citizens as possible, in order to better understand the situation, and to participate in the referendum.
He visited The Metropolitan Community Clinic at Helliniko which provides FREE medical assistance to the unemployed and poor citizens with no social security or with a very low income (about 30% of the population !).

June 2015 – PACE’s Ordinary General Assembly
PACE’S 8th annual Ordinary General Assembly took place in Brussels (10, rue du Nid, 1050) on Saturday 13th June, 2015. Rodolph Castel (Paris), Caroline von Dungern (Dusseldorf), Alexandra Karwat (Berlin) and Philippe Mazuel (Paris) were reelected as members of the board, and a new member was elected: Filip Dumitriu (Lille & Bucharest).
9th May 2015 – Pace celebrates Europe Day in Hénin-Beaumont
As it did in 2014, PACE celebrated Europe Day, on 9th May 2015, in Hénin-Beaumont. In the morning, an homage was paid to the soldiers who gave their lives for France and the Freedom of Europe. After Philippe Mazuel (France) and Caroline von Dungern (Germany) had delivered a short speech, a minute of silence was observed and a wreath inspired from the European flag was laid.

Anläßlich einer Wahlveranstaltung zur Europawahl 2014 der „Parti des Citoyens Européens“ (PACE) haben zwei junge Vertreter aus Paris einen Abstecher zur Humboldt-Universität gemacht, um mit 22 Studenten eines Französischkurses (Niveau C1) mit Schwerpunkt „Politique“ zu diskutieren. Ihr Motto lautet: Jugend, Interkulturalität, Mehrsprachigkeit und Transnationalität.
Nach einigen Erläuterungen zu den Neuerungen in den europäischen Institutionen ab Mai 2014, insbesondere die quasi direkte Wahl des Präsidenten der Europäischen Kommission, haben unsere Studenten Fragen zur Motivation, zum Programm dieser Partei gestellt und ebenso aufgeschlossen wie kritisch diskutiert, etwa über die Vorschläge zum Europapass oder zur Migrationspolitik Europas.
Es entwickelte sich eine sehr interessante Diskussion über die Wurzeln unseres Europas und was uns verbindet: einige Studenten fanden, dass PACE zu sehr an der Hegemonie Frankreichs und Deutschlands im Verbund aller 28 Länder festhält. Andere meinten, dass man sich auch europäisch fühlen kann, wenn man hier lebt, auch wenn man nicht aus einem der EU Staaten stammt (Europa soll sich also weiter öffnen!). Schließlich äußerte sich ein Student aus Asien: den europäischen Bürgern fehlt einfach der nötige Stolz auf Europa, der den Zement für eine kulturelle Einheit bildet.
Nach einer Stunde stand es 1 zu 1. Unsere Studenten fanden die Grundideen PACEs interessant, – obwohl manchmal noch ein wenig vage, und das ehrenamtliche Engagement dieser jungen Leute auf jeden Fall lobenswert. Unsere Gäste waren beeindruckt vom Interesse, von der Qualität und Tiefe der Fragen der Studenten und sind dankbar für diese Chance in direkten Kontakt mit politisch aufgeweckten Studenten zu treten.
Ein großes Dankeschön auch von mir an alle für den interkulturellen Austausch und die gemeinsame, respektvolle Reflexion!

January 2014 – PACE supports the initiative “ICH WILL EUROPA” (I want Europe)
The PArty of the Citizens of Europe (PACE, aisbl[1]), a young transnational political movement, has given itself the mission to contribute to the creation of a European integrated political area ; in other words, to the development within the European Union of a 5th Freedom: the free movement of political ideas[2], which are today prisoners of national frames (i.e. political parties) and national intellectual concepts.
Given the weight taken by European affairs in our daily life (i.e. common legislation, single currency, solidarity policies, competition policy..), and the perspective of further transfers of competences from the Member States to the European Union, in particular as regards budgetary and economic issues, it appears to us indispensable indeed to encourage the setting up of genuine European political parties so that citizens may debate, outside the limits of the national frames, on the main European stakes and decide upon the actions to be undertaken to face them, then bearing these ideas onto the political stage.
That evolution towards a progressive merging of the European political landscape, today broken up into 27 national areas, is an ambitious objective, however necessary to accompany in a democratic manner the coming transfers of sovereignty and then to manage jointly the policies that will stem from them, both in the European Parliament and within a European “Government” (the European Commission) which will be elected by the European Parliament.
To succeed in launching this dynamic, it is paramount to strengthen the human foundations of European integration, i.e. mutual knowledge and understanding between Europeans through cultural and educational exchanges like ERASMUS.
As initiative « Ich will Europa » is contributing to, it is also urgent to boost the motivation of the citizens for European integration since the main enemy of the European project is indifference.
The PArty of the Citizens of Europe (PACE) stands at the disposal of « Ich will Europa » to envisage joint actions of sensitization.

Letter of compliment for the project “Ich will Europa” (I want Europe)
The PArty of the Citizens of Europe (pace, aisbl) is a young transnational political movement, which aims to reduce the gap between European politics and European citizens as well as voicing the latter’s concerns.
The intercultural exchange serves as a tool with which one can get to know, and better understand, one’s neighbours. It is only by grasping the ways of thinking of the various European citizens that we can fully benefit from our diversity and work effectively together for the future of Europe and of its member states.
On this basis, we welcome and support the German initiative “Ich will Europa – eine Initiative der Engagierten Europäer” – an initiative of the Engaged Europeans – and hope that it will encourage our European fellow citizens to launch similar projects in their own countries.
August 2013 – GIVE EUROPE A FACE- Berlin
On the occasion of its 2nd Summer School, PACE held a civic action at Brandenburg Gate, BERLIN, on 22nd August, to start sensitizing the European citizens to the fact that from now on, they can choose the President of the European Commission. The European elections of 25th May, 2014, will therefore give the opportunity to all of us to “give Europe a face”.
